STAR TREK: Enterprise
Up to Season 3: Well I went into this show thinking I would hate it... which is a good thing! At first, I was really skeptical but after a number of episode, it seems the writers tried less to make the show "completely appealing to the mainstream" (like the pilot ugh) Sure, they do mess up the timeline, and they do a number of things that seem out of place in the Star Trek universe, but I'm just pleased that I get to watch another series. There are a number of great episodes (so far... I'm just beginning season 3) and a number of great characters. Another weak point is that some of the characters have been somewhat ignored and barely developed, which is disappointing, since that seems to be a usual strong point of the Star Trek series. I have a number of theories about the finale, and will update this page after seeing it!
Favorite Character(s) Phlox. I pretty much knew I was going to like him best off the bat. I appreciate his strange personality and humour, and I find Denobulans, from their makeup to their culture, really interesting. I thought they were a cool addition to the universe of Star Trek, and unique enough, when I thought maybe they'd have run out of cool species to write about. Although he may not be as exciting as a character like Garak, I can almost say I appreciate him the most of all Star Trek characters in a "real person" sort of way, as I enjoy his blend of wisdom and uniqueness, while maintaining a somewhat absurd sense of humour. I feel akin with him, I could say. I would also like to note that Tucker, who I thought I would find obnoxious, grew on me as well.
